Getting organised

Last week, I ran my first Vision & Goal-Setting workshop of the year (the next one is on February 1st for those who missed it), and some of the insights that emerged were:

  • Attaching your yearly goals to your long-term plan

  • The importance of breaking down significant goals into smaller steps

  • Having strong systems in place to support goal achievement

  • Aligning execution with your energy levels

Following the workshop and setting up my vision and goals for 2025, I dived into re-organizing and aligning my systems to achieve my 2025 plans. Today I wanted to share my top recommendations:

  • SYSTEMISE YOUR WORK. Tiago Forte's PARA Method helps you organize and manage information effectively by categorizing it into Projects, Areas, Resources, and Archives, enabling better focus, productivity, and clarity in both personal and professional pursuits. Build your second brain. Link here.

  • CAPTURE YOUR PROJECTS. Your goals, projects, and tasks are all in one place and easy to keep track of in Notion, using the Ultimate Brain 3.0 template by Thomas Frank. Thomas also has a template for creators to keep track of all your content. Link here.

  • TRACK YOUR ENERGY LEVELS. Align your energy with the execution of your most important goals to achieve a state of FLOW.I learned about this concept from Dr. Monica Rysavy with Systematic You. Link here. You can use Notion template developed by Coachcraft, to track your energy patterns to identify what boosts and drains your energy and what are your top time slots to achieve your most productive work.Link here.

  • Use CANVAS to create your beautiful vision board and give a unified look for your offers, posts, proposals, documents, and more.

My top tips for achieving your goals

#1 - Use the time when your energy is at its highest to work on your top 1-3 goals. Mine are the first 2 morning hours, which is when I write.

#2 - Identify your top three goals for the year and focus on them each week. Turn it into a game: your week isn't complete unless you've taken at least one step toward achieving these three goals.

#3 - Breaks are a necessary part of goal achievement.

If you haven’t set your vision and goals for 2025 yet, join my final workshop on this topic on February 1st, at 4PM - 7PM, UAE.
